How to disassembly Toshiba Portege M900 - Part 5

Remove Top Cover
a. Remove the screws as shown.

The 2pc x F5 screws used on the BASE ASSY is the same as those used for LCD hinge. The screw is of the thicker type. Comparison of F5 and F5 is as below.

b. Disconnect cables and remove 4pcs x F5 screws

Remove BASE ASSY
c. Lift TOP COVER ASSY from right corner, follow by the left.

How to disassembly Toshiba Portege M900 - Part 4

Remove ODD
a. Remove 1 x F3 screw
b. Push ODD from location A, pull the ODD bezel carefully from location B

Remove Keyboard Strip Cover
a. 2pc x F 3 screws
b. Remove each latch on the KB strip cover

c. Remove KB strip cover from the right hand side.
d. Release the rest the KB strip cover

It ill will be easier to remove from the right hand side of the KB strip cover. Take note of the structure of the KB strip cover.

Remove Keyboard
Remove 2pcs x F 2 screw. Disconnect KB from the KB connector
